James Marcus “Robbie” Robertson

James “Robbie” Robertson, 70, died Monday, December 11, 2006 at the Doctors Hospital in Augusta.

He was born in Dublin, Georgia but lived most of his life in Savannah. In 1983 he made Tybee Island his home. He retired from Kaiser Chemicals and began a full time career as a shrimper. He owned and operated R& R seafood on Tybee Island. Mr. Robertson was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Dublin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dyke and Almar Robertson and his brother, D.G. Robertson.

He is survived by two daughters, Robin Ramsey of Pt. Wentworth and Renee Moore of Garden City; five grandchildren, Jennifer Lucas of Greenville, SC, Stephanie Crocker of Bluffton, SC, Chuck Moore of Savannah, Kevin Moore and Ryan Moore, both of Guyton; Dean Carter of Tybee Island; one brother, Robert Robertson of Dublin and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.

A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Rock Springs Church Cemetery in Dublin.

Remembrances may be made to the Doctors Hospital-Burn Center, 3651 Wheeler Road, Augusta, GA 30909.
